Job Description

Working directly with the VP of Development and the CEO, the Director of Community Partnerships is the liaison to community organizations that provide support to the mission of Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson through partnerships, promotions, and giving campaigns.


  • Identify, cultivate funding sponsorships with corporations whose interests align with BGCT mission and values.
  • Oversight of deliverables for event sponsorships, from pitch phase through execution phase, including logistics and communication, to ensure that all contracted deliverables owed to sponsors are met.
  • Professional and collaborative communication with events staff, to ensure successful sponsor executions that operate seamlessly within the framework of the general event
  • Manage the annual workplace campaigns and associated business relationships with different organizational partners including: Work with the volunteer campaign leadership on recruitment and training for volunteers supporting the workplace campaign. Maintain communications and marketing tools needed to sustain campaign activities.
  • Manage prospect identification, analysis and research
  • Set revenue budget goals and manage an expense budget

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with a minimum of two years of success in non profit fundraising, sales or other development related activities or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must meet the requirements to drive for the organization including being at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license with good driving record and consistent access to a motor vehicle with required insurance coverage.

Desired Competencies:

  • Ability to identify prospects, mine existing donor database, develop solicitation plans, and close gifts.
  • Proven experience cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors.
  • Superior interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson’s mission and interests to a diverse group of people.
  • Excellent user of office technology and information systems (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and donor databases, preferable Donor Perfect.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work successfully with a high degree of attention to detail and minimum supervision.
  • Ability to establish and monitor priorities, remain flexible and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Ability to function either independently or as an active team member
